How FTF values are calculated
Everything behind the numbers on this site — where values come from, what demand and stability mean, and the exact rules used to value broken items.
Where values come from
All item values on FTF Calculator are sourced from the official FTF values list, the community-maintained value reference used by Flee the Facility traders. The list is monitored on a regular basis and this site's data is updated shortly after each change — the “Last updated” date shown in the calculator reflects the most recent sync.
A listed value is a community estimate — a shared reference point for comparing trades. It is not a price set by Roblox or by the Flee the Facility developers, and it never guarantees that a trade will happen at that value.
FV and HV units
FV (Flee Value) is the base unit used by the value list, and it is the unit used for every item page on this site. HV (Hunter Value) is a convenience unit based on hammer value:
1 HV = 30 FV
The calculator's unit toggle switches between FV and HV instantly. It only changes how numbers are displayed — it never changes an item's relative value or the W/F/L result.
Demand and stability
Demand is a score from 1 to 4 that summarises how easy an item is to trade right now. A 4 means the item is actively sought after; lower scores mean you may need to wait longer to move the item, even if its raw value looks fine.
Stability describes recent value behaviour:
- Rising — value trending up recently
- Doing Well — holding value with steady demand
- Improving — slowly gaining ground
- Stable — little recent movement
- Fluctuating — moving up and down
- Struggling — harder to trade at value
- Receding — demand cooling off
- Dropping — value trending down
Stability is an advisory signal, not a prediction. The W/F/L calculator compares exact FV totals only — demand and stability are shown as context and never change the result.
Hammer / Gem (broken item) rules
In Flee the Facility, items can be traded as a full set or broken into a hammer (H) and a gem (G). A broken item is worth less than the full set. The exact split depends on rarity:
| Item type | Hammer (H) | Gem (G) |
|---|---|---|
| Legendary items | 70% of set value | 30% of set value |
| Seasonal items (Epic / Rare / Common) | 50% of set value | 50% of set value |
| Neon-gem exceptions (Aurora, Cherry Pie, …) | 80% of set value | 20% of set value |
| Full-value exceptions | 100% — keeps set value | 100% — keeps set value |
Full-value exceptions are items whose SHG (set/hammer/gem) split does not apply — they keep the full set value even when broken. Every item page shows its exact H/G values.
Win / Fair / Lose
The calculator totals every item on each side using the rules above, then compares the two totals:
- Win — you receive more value than you give
- Fair — both sides are exactly equal
- Lose — you receive less value than you give
A “Win” on value is not the same as a “Win” in practice — collector interest, demand, timing, and how much you actually want the item all matter. Use the result as a starting point, not the final word.
